please don't bully him back into the pods he's now feeling well enough that it's very much just like trying to get a cat into the carrier to take to the vet theres a lot of yowling and gripping the sides
so he's probably fine for now
instead he's just taking test swings with the half of golf club that was pulled out of him earlier]
[That's actually good, Molly, that's valid. She'll inspect his stupid medbay pod to make sure he didn't leave any of his organs or bones behind, and then will just sit tiredly.]
[ proud of your golf club, molly, and if he's behaving this way then law won't stop him. sure that both of them have had their fill of dramatics and the like.
[ well! after everyone is roused awake by the death text and they've taken stock of the room, misa hovers by one of the cracked med pods. she reaches her hand out to run her fingers over the surface, hesitating before she turns back toward the others. ]
Guys, call me crazy, but... I think... we might not be alone here? Earlier this week, I went exploring and had something happen to me in the experimental holding room. I know, I know, don't lecture me, it was really stupid and I'm totally a hypocrite—but... while I was there, I ended up inside one of the pods. I– think I ended up in someone's memory? Neither of the people I saw while I was in there were anyone here, but the room was the same, and all the bodies in the pods were of one of the men I saw.
At first I wasn't going to say anything, because I know how crazy this all sounds but... we've seen people we know in those pods, and we've seen us in there too...
What if... what if all the murders so far have been committed by our clones? And that's why we keep getting the answers wrong? What if...what if going in the pods here, like, takes our DNA or whatever and the clones are trying to take our places by killing us?
I saw memories not my own of people not here last week. I didn't-- well. I believe I know who they were. I'm not sure it relates except as more illusions meant to shake us.
Do you think we ought to talk to Despair about this? I'll go with you, if you like.
[She's not sure about the clone theory, but.]
When Sheila and I explored the chapel, we experienced something strange as well, but it was a memory belonging to Pride. It might be best to rule out that wasn't the cause of what you saw.
...When I went to explore the laboratory earlier this week, I heard a child crying where that odd machine was. At the time, I wrote it off as something related to the Avatars, but... I don't think any sort of theory here is particularly crazy, Misamisa.
