We checked that out, too. It was quite odd - I tried to cut a piece of it away and it shivered and shook. The longer we stayed in the room, too, the more it tried to fold in and over on itself, like it was trying to make itself look bigger.
Altogether rather horrifying.

Hmm...
I never witnessed any strange phenomena, but I could have sworn I saw a similar substance in the cargo bay.
