When Sheila and I explored the chapel, we experienced something strange as well, but it was a memory belonging to Pride. It might be best to rule out that wasn't the cause of what you saw.
What Sheila and I saw was much the same. But given that I know it to be a personal memory, belonging to someone who values their privacy, I feel it best not to speak of it further.
I suspect the floor the experimental holding room is on is related to Despair, as this floor is related to Gluttony, the next to Pride, and the one above to Greed.
