Mm, I'm not a forensic expert, but, from what I understand, luminol is a chemical that glows when it reacts with blood, and can be used to find trace amounts at a scene where the blood has been cleaned up.

DNA is... well, it's what you're made up of. The genetic data that makes you... you. If something like a hair or the killers blood is found at the scene, their DNA can be sequenced from it and potentially matched with someone.

[ gu yun looks -- there's a mixture of emotions on his face, when he comes in the room. frustration, mostly, but something underneath that, too. it clears off after a moment; he scrubs his face with his good hand and straightens, posture tall and proud. ]

[ good morning hole man!! on friday morning, gu yun is in the tea room, liuli glass perched on his nose, pouring himself a cup of green tea. it smells very nice in here - altogether, a very peaceful kind of morning!!

the door's open, though, and he glances up when he spots fukuda, then gives him a little nod. awkward. but hey! what's up. ]

What, do you think I've claimed the place for myself and myself alone? Come in. [ gu yun waves his hand!!! no hesitating. ]

I've just made a kettle. Go pick a tea you like, I'll make you a cup.
