[Anyway, he's ... choosing to believe this story and just settled on looking over the injuries. Also kissing him on the forehead while he's got his face captive? That's also happening.]
I can cover for the claw marks. Heal them over a little, claim they're mine.
Oh. The third person with Seth. The other two besides me are dead now.
[Hmm.]
That may complicate things, Gu Yun. Claw marks and bites may become quite suspicious. Mollymauk's suggestion is good, but there is also the option of cosmetics.
What locations did you fight with him in? We'll want to isolate that evidence, make sure theories focusing on it don't progress too far.
I've also sharp teeth if necessary. Never seen anyone suggest that cosmetics be used to cover things, which means they likely won't think to try and wipe it off. Maybe leave some of the bruises which others besides me can verify, cover the rest.
[flexing a hand, trying to see if he can match the width of the panther marks with his own.]
... Do you plan to hide it or put it in the light?
We met up in the elevator. I couldn't - I can't tell you exactly what locations in the hall we fought in, but I'm sure there's evidence. After that, he cornered me in the spa. None of you were there, by the way.
[ which is how that works! he knows now. incredible. also, in looking, it seems he doesn't have any direct, obvious bites! so that's good. ] ...I had an ability to blind him, so I used it, and we. [ a pause. gu yun wrinkles his nose. ] Talked a bit, actually, before he turned into a panther. It was odd, but we were both aware only one of us could make it out alive. He asked me to handle some things for him, if it was him, and I agreed, if he'd do the same for me.
After that, he transformed into a panther - I suppose he thought he'd be able to see better, or get an advantage, and we continued fighting. I fought him all the way to that room with the odd pool in it, and I was able to overcome him there.
... He wanted to leave a message for Gojou. I've a feeling it wasn't particularly affectionate. [ here gu yun starts to frown further... ] Asked me to help him carve something on his side.
I did, but only a little - couldn't see well enough, so there are a few knife marks, but they should blend in fine. He left the message with his own claws. [ for a moment, he reaches past molly for harrow, if she'll let him, and traces out 100 ♥ against her arm. there are lots of questions to answer in all of that, but there's at least the story.
... ] I'm not going to cop to it immediately. Especially not with two other bodies. But I do think that I have a viable defense - I just don't trust others not to vote for me anyway.
[She'll let him, but she's making such an unimpressed face.]
Well. The man is an utter psychopath, and I for one would not have felt obligated to help him carry out his death mutilation requests.
[But. Whatever. It's fine.]
I investigated the pool room this evening, so I could see my way to going back there tomorrow, if you think you left anything behind. Otherwise, I would suggest that I volunteer to do the body.
. . . I don't think it's a bad idea for you to admit to it at some point. Enough people know Mahito was dangerous, and I'll continue to seed that this evening to the extent I can without seeming obvious about it. Don't wait until it's late, and risk that we haven't made any headway. If it comes to a late hour and we haven't made progress on Aoi and Lenore I'll try to organize a no vote, and fortunately a few of those who liked Mahito may nonetheless listen to Molly or I, but it's a risk that doesn't sit comfortably with me.
Better to try to confess to it once we have body information for Aoi and Lenore, so we have more of a sense that it's not another apparently unsolvable Eleanor situation.
He was not fond of Gojou. In fact I'm fairly certain it was him voting for him every time, for kicks. If it was just him, though, that means that it was one vote pulling second place.
[...]
Is there a chance Mahito is responsible for the others? Or was his focus on you the entire night?
[ good thing he can barely see her unimpressed face. after a moment of recalling... ]
Mahito had some sort of item on him in the spa. A little bottle of some sort. I felt it fall out of his pocket, but that's it. It was maybe made of metal, like a can, and not large. I imagine most of the damage is just the disaster of us fighting.
Beyond that, if they ask to go to the sleep bay, there is something in my room - my clothes. I changed into the torn robes I wore at execution on Sunday when I went downstairs, before I ran into him. There are certainly some tears in the fabric, but I folded it up in a way that would make it difficult to find and cleaned them the best that I could. It still shouldn't be too obvious, but just in case. I also have an item from Wrath that does absolutely nothing special, but I can lie about it, if I need to.
Mahito was with me the entire time. I was barely downstairs for fifteen minutes before we ran into each other.
[ ...after a long moment, to harrow. ]
... And I'm willing to do that - in fact, I'd like to. It is just absolutely imperative that I am not chosen. I know Mineo has the ability to manipulate votes, but I'm not sure who the third person is. I'll rely on you two to give me a signal when the time is right.
I won't allow you to be chosen. I don't think Extra Serving will be any help to force a No Vote, but if it seems that anyone - Endorsi, perhaps - is too angry, then we won't risk a No Vote.
I can speak to Endorsi. Try to sus out her feelings on the situation tonight, if you think it's a good idea. The other thing I would suggest is bringing Shi Qingxuan at least in enough to tell her to focus on Aoi and Lenore. She and Ming Yi owe us that much.
Ah - Harrow. If one of you goes along to the spa, I believe the body shows up in the condition it was in the time of death, yes? So I think his clothes are in the spa, based on the motions I was able to sense. It might behoove you to plant my liuli glass among them.
[ but. he nods, lifting his head to give molly a bit of a smile, reaching out to pat him gently on the chest. ]
The glass does point rather directly to you. I get your point, trying to make him responsible for the "theft" but- ... we can sit with it, consider how close they're getting to you by the time we check the spa. I can put it in the lining of my coat. People don't check it.
[ clever, clever. ] The trial's not until noon, right? We've got a bit of time in It's likely the pods won't heal all of my injuries, based on what Despair said, and if I had to guess, it will be what's the most obvious.
[ there's a pause.
he reaches over and covers harrow's ears. ] Molly, tomorrow morning, let's assess how fresh they look and make a few more.
[ and then uncovers them. ] And either way, I would advise against trying to plant anything on his body. I have a feeling he won't be. Ah. Clothed. So.
[ thinking... ] He died in the room with the pool. I slit his throat and shoved him in and then shut the door so the water wouldn't splash me.
We're covering up a murder. Your sex plans are unimportant to me, thank you. And not knowing what it is only makes it worse. [Sigh.] Where was this consideration for my ears at curfew, I ask.
[Anyway.]
No one checks me at all. I have brought some of the bleach and one of the knives I stole the first week here to every single trial, in case I needed to disarm someone. There are just so many places where I keep bones. Let me hold onto the glass.
. . . Just. Give me a sign if you want me to reveal the glass. I don't want to make the decision for you.
The healing will leave light marks - I remember Law's hands and arms. Faint scratches, light in color. [He tilts his head a bit and laughs at the plan though--] And I'm happy to do that, but also I could simply give you some now so the healing would match the others? Up to you. [...] We, uh, don't have to be currently fucking for me to do those, despite that being much more fun. Could just do both?
[ he sticks out his tongue!!! ] I'm trying to be considerate now in repentance for my misdeeds, yesterday.
But that sounds fine. I'll trust you - and I'll let you know if that's the case. [ more seriously, for harrow, and then, to molly, after, he winks. ] Let's try it, then - both sounds good.
[ some of gu yun's usual, easy cheer that was returning throughout the end of this conversation starts to fade a bit, though, into something more serious. it sticks when he tries to say it, having to swallow his pride. ]
...I'll still have difficulty defending myself, tomorrow, if too many people get the idea to ask questions at once. I can't hear nearly well enough when voices overlap, especially that many, and especially when they aren't aware of the limitations.
[Gross. She wants to die. But she coughs a little. She's. She's trying to help.]
Fresh marks at trial will be very conspicuous. The better solution is to just give Mollymauk some that match, which he can heal a little so they seem a few days old.
[ANYWAY.]
Leave your phone in your pocket; if anyone asks you anything directly and you don't pay attention, I'll text you. If there are a lot of questions at once, I'll do what I do best and be bossy and take over.
He doesn't have the claws for it. [But he can try?] But that's what I'm saying. Marks of a more suggestive nature that I give now, so he gets into the pod sometime today and the level of healing will match the crime ones. I could just say I got a bit messy.
And I'm very good at running my mouth. I'll do my best to lead some distractions if necessary.
[ he does not laugh or smile over harrow's helpful remark, instead coughing gently into his hand and nodding, just briefly flicking his gaze over to molly and keeping any other reaction off of his face. yes. understood. he will save her having to say anything else about it. ] Alright. I don't have any boons - well, that's a lie. I didn't end up having to use my pin, at all, but I'll be keeping that in my pocket, just in case something happens again.
[ he thinks, for a moment, trying to make sure he's covered all the details, and, after not coming up with much else more, ends up settling with the nice feeling of having trustworthy allies. it's.
... it's really nice, actually. aah. having an Emotion. anyway!! ]
I'll be counting on you both. Let's pull this off, yes? One way or another.
That was the second message I sent today. [ after the one to these two, of course. ] As long as I'm not caught, then yes. I just don't know if it would be Sunday or Monday, yet.
[ so there's that, at least. sometimes you gotta kill a guy to get your medicine! ]
Well, good. Good riddance to Mahito, then. Whether or not you're being entirely honest with us about the progression of events, so long as you survive the trial you've likely done us all a good turn by dispatching him.

I didn't encounter the creature. Mahito turned himself into a panther.
