And then press again. [ the same little button causes the weapon to hum and push out a burst of steam. then, with a turn of his wrist, and the blades start moving, in that terrible motion reminiscent of a meat grinder. ] Like so.
[She watches carefully as he demonstrates, holding the weapon he shows her and pressing as he instructs - and this time, she doesn't try to hide that she looks pretty interested.]
Ahh, I've never seen a weapon like this before... I wonder if I could make something like it back home. [Thoughtfully, to herself:] Hatz might faint if he saw it someday.
Mm, friend might not be the best word... Teammate, I guess! I don't mind using swords when hand to hand doesn't make sense, but he's the real swordsman.
