...I watched it have an effect. It - seemed to pull them back, back to how I'd seen them before that point. It wasn't perfect, or immediate, and time took care of the rest of it, but I watched it help.
[Maybe because Harrow is nice to Pride, did you ever consider that?? Or maybe they vibe because they're both tiny and mean.]
. . . I know that in certain cases, what has been done to them is painful. It is certainly a good thing, if we can bring them back to what they were before.
I'm not sure the Avatars know themselves what our purpose here is, but it is likely to help them in some way with their "unfinished business." Ah, and - I think there is also some reason to believe there is a higher authority, keeping tabs on the Avatars themselves and enforcing their rules.
. . . To be more clear, when I say I think, there is some evidence I'm aware of that strongly suggests it. But I've been asked not to share too broadly the evidence itself, as it may bring too much scrutiny onto the Avatars.

Mm. I would. . . like to help them. But I also think we must be cautious, with what they say. If they are following rules set by a third party [The secret Mastermind, the Avatar of Cringe] then we can't know if their answers are genuine or if they are following some sort of requirement.
