[ once he's out of the pod proper, gu yun spots harrow when the door opens. he's got bedhead, compared to the day before, and when he spots her, he. grins?
and then reaches down and lifts up his non functioning left arm with his right so she can see the fact that he no longer has a stump - instead, it's a completely skeletal hand.
he waves it in her direction and it flops uselessly. ] The pod's taken a leaf out of your book, it seems!
[ yeah this is what he was expecting. gu yun woke up, saw his skeleton hand, and immediately thought "i have to tell harrow" so, it's fine. she will find it to be a perfectly well crafted skeleton hand, though, it doesn't have any grip or anything of the like! ]
Still no feeling in it at all. Primrose and I both had the same issue yesterday, and that was before I lost the hand itself - I was hoping the pod would heal that up too, but, Wrath said it may take more time.
I thought you might be the expert in its construction, though. [ joking: ] How's it look?
[She will just keep sort of playing with it, testing its movement, testing its grip, directing him to press down or move on his own, making little 'hmm' sounds, especially when he can't.]
It looks fine, but the movement leaves something to be desired. Of course without the muscles and ligature it is difficult for an amateur to give the bone movement like flesh, it is hardly impossible.
If the pod can't correct this, I will have to insist I'm allowed an attempt.
[ he is surprisingly very obedient and lets harrow do whatever she wants, though, she'll notice his hand doesn't have any response at all.
her indignance makes him snicker, too, delighted with this response, actually. his hand is cool! ]
The movement does leave something to desire, doesn't it! I'm finding it quite inconvenient, if aesthetically rather pleasing. I'll be sleeping in here tonight, so you'll have to take that bit up with the avatars. After all, I certainly can't have subpar work!
You gilded it? Oh - no, make mine black, black as iron, if that's the case. The Marquis of Order, Marshal of the Black Iron Camp - remove his black armor, and his bones are black, too. What a delightful ring that would have to it.
Ha! I knew you'd understand. [ secret terrible goth ] If it doesn't heal beyond this, I absolutely insist that you do so. The rumors at home about me will fly even worse than they already do.
[ this gets him to burst out laughing immediately, completely unperturbed by harrow wanting to break his new bone fingers which he absolutely deserves ]
And ruin such a piece of fine bone? That doesn't seem like you! [ wehehehehe ]

Does it feel pain? Are there nerves? How's your range of motion?
[Seems bad. But if he doesn't react like it's painful, she'll just start moving the fingers to see.]

[Actually. . . ]
When I regrew Ianthe Tridentarius' arm, she had the bone gilded. Hideous and gauche, but. [Maybe he'd like that, too.]

[ this is just as hideous and gauche ]

[The face she makes. However.]
Iron, however, is acceptable. Black is more tasteful.

It will be very striking.

Hmm. You've complimented me and looked out for me all in two days! Harrow, I think you like me.
[ ruins it immediately ]

The other benefit to iron will be that the skeleton alone, unprotected by dermis and muscle, is so fragile. It would be all too easy to shatter it.
