very, very innocently, he says: ] This Marquis of Order is lucky to be presented with the amount of the Ziliujin that is given to him, as it is certainly enough to power an entire fleet of Dark Armor of various types.
[ he sounds a little bit annoyed, though it's mostly performative. ]
That's thing I'm finding most annoying to have been taken from me. Even without a consistent supply of ziliujin, I don't like being without it.
[ his dark armor's practically a second skin, at this point.
anyway. time to continue being a nerd and not make innuendos. ] When we first met, walking along in those shoes - Dark Armors are steam powered at the heels. It allows you to travel roughly ten steps at a time at the speed of a normal person. Walking light is a necessity, if you do it correctly, and combined with the Eagle type, it can be used as a takeoff for flight.
Childe hums, turning his gaze aside. He looks thoughtful, like he's mulling something over in his head.
Finally, he says--]
The common people of Teyvat do not possess Visions, so we've a mixture of technology and "magic", as some would say. The armories of the Fatui are filled with all manner of weapons and armor, though none quite as you describe. But much of it is made to complement its wearer's Vision.
[The super special armor only comes from the Abyss. Haha.
But he'll never say that, so--]
Perhaps it was foolish of me, but I'd assumed I would have access to my own Vision. With it, I don't need to carry physical weapons, though I often do anyway.
[ hmm. interesting. this is much more interesting than anything about the harbingers or whatever, because he really doesn't care that much, short of getting a picture of the person in front of him.
gu yun sips his drink, thoughtful. ]
Not so foolish, I don't think. It seems more unnatural that it would just be stripped away. What's your Vision do - you mentioned creating your own weapons before.
[Childe also thinks this is way more interesting than his shitty coworkers so they're all on the same page here.]
Mine is a Hydro Vision--the element of water. I use mine to create weapons, for the most part, but in theory, I can make whatever I like. Within reason, of course.
Mm, I don't really have a preference. [More like he prefers creating whatever weapons he wants lmao] The weapons I form are made of water, yes. They lose form when I disperse them.
[He smiles; somehow, it conveys the idea that isn't even the half of it.
But that's beyond the trade he's been offered, so he just reaches for the bottle to pour them both more vodka.]
It's alright. Challenges keep things interesting. [says Childe "I handicap myself for fun" Tartaglia.] But I would've preferred to agree to it myself, you know?
[ yeah. yeah, actually! he raises his glass to that as it's filled. cheers to that!!! ] Suppose its our fault for just saying yes - not that there was any time to read the fine print.
Proper negotiation involves laying out the terms instead of introducing them as we go, but I suppose there was no time for that, either.
gu yun agrees, idly - ] Blind men are pretty stupid. [ and downs the rest of his, too. more please. ] We didn't get much of those, either. [ words, that is. ]
Ha. Maybe when we get them back, we could swap for an hour or so.
Also I can't believe he's gonna have to steal another bottle already. God. But he's generous, he'll pour again.]
Unfortunately, I'm not sure you'd be able to activate it. Visions are bestowed on us by our Archons. [coughs in Delusion] But I'd be happy to demonstrate, if you'd do the same.

Instead--]
It's a shame there's no access to it here. I would've liked to see this armor of yours with my own eyes.
[don't you dare turn this into an innuendo]

Interesting. I'd like to see that - it really is too bad it's been taken from you.

Contracts are nothing but paper anyway. A good wordsmith could sell a blind man glasses.

Hah, I don't know if I'd call it that. It's all based on their whims, after all.
